The sales team straddles two Office 365 providers

Background

The M&L Management Group (M&L) is a family-owned and operated company that has been in the real estate business for more than fifty years. M&L manages, constructs, and owns residential properties in the New York city area. Its current portfolio includes 1030 apartment located in 6 high-rises and 14 townhouses.

Historically, M&L was managing its contacts using Goldmine and Microsoft Outlook which were not truly integrated. Goldmine was used to keep track of their real estate agreements. The company realized that it had to move to a system that is better integrated and accessible from anywhere. As a step in that direction the company adopted Office 365 for email management and collaboration for its whole company.  Generally the employee response to that was good. In addition, a couple of new sales people favored Dynamics CRM as they had used that software in their previous jobs. Realizing that Dynamics CRM required a fair amount of handholding and support, the sales department was looking for a company with significant experience on managing and supporting Dynamics CRM. Then they came across O365CloudExperts.com and started their due diligence.

The Solution

The sales department was impressed that Apps4Rent the company behind O365CloudExperts had been providing hosted Microsoft Dynamics CRM since 2011. In addition, Apps4Rent is a 1-Tier Office 365 Cloud Service Provider. So the sales team suggested to the IT department that they preferred to get Office 365 Dynamics CRM through Apps4Rent. However, the IT department was comfortable with its existing Office 365 provider for E3 and was reluctant to move its staff to a new vendor. At this point, Apps4Rent, after consulting with Microsoft, came up with an elegant solution.  The sales team could get an Office 365 account through Apps4Rent for just the seven Dynamics CRM user licenses they needed.  The whole company could continue using Office 365 E3 through the existing provider. So, the sales team could get productive with the Dynamics CRM with the help of excellent support by Apps4Rent. They would still enjoy complete integration with Office 365 E3 account that was managed by their regular provider. To top it all, Apps4Rent could offer a discounted price on Dynamics CRM because Microsoft gave credit for the existing Office 365 E3 account.

Outcome

Apps4Rent implemented a 7 user Office 365 Dyamics CRM implementation to replace M&L’s Goldmine® system. Microsoft Dynamics CRM allowed M&L to share information better among its staff, manage their real estate activities throughout an agreement and integrate with Microsoft Office 365.  M&L has since expanded its use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM data to track trends, real estate conditions, and analyze on their assets.
